This Sanjeok Beef and Nashi Pear Burger is a tasty mix of Korean flavors and traditional American burgers. The beef patties get a little sweetness and juicy from the grated Nashi pear, and they get rich umami flavors from the marinade. Add your favorite toppings and fresh vegetables to make it a great burger experience.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 Nashi pear, peeled and grated
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced red onion
- Sliced pickles
- Sliced cheese optional
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
Instructions:
Ground beef, grated Nashi pear, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ground black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl
Mix the ingredients together well until they are all evenly mixed in
Make 4 burger patties out of the beef mixture that are all the same size
Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat
The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely brown while the burgers are cooking
Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun before putting your burgers together
On top of the lettuce, put a cooked patty
If you want, you can add a slice of cheese next
Cover the patty with tomato, red onion, and pickle slices
On the top half of the bun, spread mayonnaise and ketchup
To finish the burger, put the top half of the bun on top of the assembled ingredients
Warm up your Sanjeok Beef and Nashi Pear Burger and serve it with your favorite sides
